To Provide Food Support

Implementing partner – Anfaal Foundation

SDG covered: 2 – Zero Hunger.

NGO Partner background – Anfaal Foundation is dedicated to serve the under privileged communities in and around Mumbai and MMR region. Its core areas of operations are Education, food support, disaster management etc.

Objective / Purpose – Our project helped in providing food support to the people including but not limited to widows and elderly people who either could not go to work or are not skilled enough to find a job to earn their livelihood.

Status - Implemented

To build a Cancer Hospital in Mumbai

Implementing partner – CanCare Trust (Head and Neck Cancer Institute of India – HNCII)

SDG covered: 3 – Good Health and Well Being.

NGO Partner background – It is a public charitable trust, founded in 1997 by three colleagues at the Tata Memorial Hospital. Its main program has been to provide financial assistance to cancer patients and to reach out to the families of cancer patients, particularly for their children’s education.

Objective / Purpose – They are building a 93 bedded Head & Neck Cancer Hospital in Mumbai. We have funded a small portion of project cost of the said Hospital.

Status - Ongoing. Hospital expected to be commissioned in Jan 2022.

To provide smart workstations to Shoe-shiners working at Mumbai railway stations

Implementing partner – Indeed (CSR Advisory Arm of Dentsu International)

SDG covered: 1 – No Poverty.

NGO Partner background – Indeed, the CSR Consultancy Arm of Dentsu International, which implements unique / specialized CSR projects for Corporates is our implementation partner for this program. For CSR, it has a powerful approach to create shareholder value and make a real difference to beneficiaries, customers, employees, stakeholders, and the society at large

Objective / Purpose – To conduct project feasibility study first post which to help in increasing the dignity of Mumbai railway shoe shiners by providing them smart workstations. 

Status - Yet to be initiated.

Co-processing of discarded footwear in an Eco-Friendly manner.

Implementing partner – Ekatvam Plastic Recycling Services

SDG covered: 12 – Responsible Production and Consumption & 13 – Climate Action.

NGO Partner background – Ekatvam is an NMMC empaneled, BMC approved & Central Govt recognized start-up in the Waste Management Sector. Its main objective is Zero Waste into Landfill. This is achieved through Management of Dry Waste at source and ensuring relevant streams of dry waste is sent for recycling.

Objective / Purpose – This project would help in disposing of 100 tons of discarded footwear in an Eco-Friendly manner and to run a few pilot projects to explore any other productive use, thereby completing the cycle of a circular economy.

Status - Pilot project has since been initiated.

To support and empower rural adolescent girls

Implementing partner – empowHER Foundation (legally known as SKS Chakshu Foundation)

SDG covered: 4 – Quality Education.

NGO Partner background – They provide Life Skills training, SRHR (Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights) together with gender equality and security to fulfil the real needs of tribal adolescent girl’s which are living in abject poverty of Karjat region.

Objective / Purpose - To provide lower income rural adolescents access to books outside of their textbooks and promote a conducive learning environment by setting up libraries in 34 villages of Karjat Taluka.

Status - Under implementation

To help under privileged children excel in their academic life.

Implementing partner – Fidai Girls Educational Institute – FGEI

SDG covered: 4 – Quality Education.

NGO Partner background Since 1953, FGEI has been supporting the education cause of the children from the economically weaker section families of Maharashtra and Gujarat.

Objective / Purpose - To help 108 children of under privileged families and or those who are having health or marital issues or with no access to education of Maharashtra and Gujarat region by providing them an environment to excel in their academic life.

Status - Implemented.

Distributing smart devices to educate students

Implementing partner – Focus Humanitarian Assistance

SDG covered: 4 – Quality Education.

NGO Partner background Focus Humanitarian Assistance India is a nodal agency of Agakhan Development Network India to implement various health, education, skilling, welfare, development etc related CSR projects.

Objective / Purpose - To distribute smart devices (Smartphone/tablet) to 342 education students studying in grade 1st to 5th.

Status - Under implementation 

To refurbish disposed of discarded footwear and distribute these to students

Implementing partner – Greensole Foundation

SDG covered: 13 – Climate Action.

NGO Partner backgroundGreensole gives discarded shoes a second life by refurbishing them to comfortable footwear and providing them to the people in need, contributing to environmental good.

Objective / Purpose - To recycle disposed of discarded footwear and distribute 5972 refurbished slippers to school children of Armoor mandal – Block, of Nizamabad – District,
Telangana – State

Status - Sanctioned. Yet to be implemented

To provide affordable upper limbs to those who have lost them in an accident or don’t have them by birth

Implementing partnerInali Foundation

SDG covered: 3 – Good Health and Well Being.

NGO Partner background – In the last 2 years, Inali Foundation has provided over 3500 upper limbs for free to people from across India.

Objective / Purpose - To provide free affordable prosthetic arms to 100 people in and around Hyderabad who have lost them in an accident or don’t have them by birth.

Status - Sanctioned. Yet to be implemented

To fund treatment cost of EWS and critically ill patients

Implementing partner – Prince Aly Khan Hospital - PAKH.

SDG covered: 3 – Good Health and Well Being.

NGO Partner background – Prince Aly Khan Hospital functions within the framework of the Aga Khan Development Network, which is committed towards improving the health and living conditions of people in developing countries. It has 201 in-patient beds, a four-room operation theatre complex, an intensive care unit, an intensive cardiac care unit, a neonatal ICU, a renal dialysis unit and state-of -the -art facilities in every department. 

Objective / Purpose - To fund medical treatment of economically weaker section (EWS) patients suffering from critical illnesses.

Status - IImplemented.

To find solution and treatment for Muscular Dystrophy

Implementing partner – Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy (PPMD)

SDG covered: 3 – Good Health and Well Being.

NGO Partner background – Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy is an irreversible muscle wasting process in boys which severely curtails their lifespan and leaves them wheelchair bound by the age of around 10 years.

Objective / Purpose - To find solution and treatment and carry out pre-clinical and clinical research activities to develop medicines for the Muscular Dystrophy.

Status - IImplemented.

To provide food support

Implementing partner – Salaam Bombay Foundation

SDG covered: 2 – Zero Hunger.

NGO Partner background – It was started in 2002 to focus on adolescents in Mumbai’s slums. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic situation, SBF has also designed interventions to provide food support for the families.

Objective / Purpose - To provide food support to families which have been adversely affected due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Status - Implemented.

Build Internal capacities of UnLtd India

Implementing partner – UnLtd India

SDG covered: 4 – Quality Education.

NGO Partner background – UnLtd India supports early-stage Social Entrepreneurs in India to nurture their ideas and grow as true artists of change.

Objective / Purpose - Build Capacities of UnLtd India by creating an effective network of Individuals and CSRs for mentoring, problem solving and fundraising.

Status - IImplemented.

To provide safety equipment’s to effectively fight the Covid-19 pandemic

Implementing partner – United Way Mumbai – UWM

SDG covered: 3 – Good Health and Well Being.

NGO Partner background – Over the past 17 years, UWM has partnered with over 300 companies and over 1,00,000 individual donors investing close to INR 648 crore for community development projects.

Objective / Purpose - To provide safety equipment’s face masks (3-ply as well as N-95) and PPE kits to Health workers and Police personnel to effectively fight the Covid-19 pandemic.

Footwear donation for migrants

Implementing partner – United Way Mumbai and Rotary Club of Bombay West

SDG covered: 10 – Reduced Inequalities.

NGO Partner background – Jeevan Rath is an alliance formed by civic society individuals, organizations foundations, government bodies, technical and regulatory bodies as well as private companies to roll out a lifeline for daily wage earners returning to their villages, from hotspots of MMR and Pune. United Way Mumbai and Rotary club of Bombay West, both are a part of ‘Jeevan Rath’.

Objective / Purpose - To provide migrant and local people with footwear pairs.

Status - Implemented.
